A Matter of Loaf and Death

After the great success of Wallace & Gromit's previous adventures, it was announced on October 3rd 2007 that the famous plasticine duo would return to the small screen in a brand adventure for Christmas 2008.

The plotline? Wallace and Gromit have opened a new bakery business - Top Bun - but a deadly murderer is targeting all the bakers in town. Wallace couldn't care - he's found true love in the shape of Piella Bakewell, former star of the Bake-O-Lite bread commercials. Can Gromit discover the identity of the Cereal Killer before Wallace becomes the next victim?

Production started on the film in January 2008, after a whopping 16 months of pre-production and writing by the reunited team of Nick Park and Bob Barker. The wallaceandgromit.com production blog followed the production crew through each stage of the process, until on October 10th it was announced that the final scene had been shot and was ready to be edited.

The film is due to premier on BBC One this Christmas, as well as various other stations around the globe.
