2004年的某天凌晨3点，一场无聊的派对后，多伦多市中心的阁楼，两位年轻人碰面了。他们两人在聊天时发现，彼此都讨厌在电台听到同样的东西一遍又一遍。他们认识到，现在的流行音乐对旋律有点忽视。因此，他们建立了他们两人的乐队AfterpartY——20岁的 Kristina B 担任主唱，Idan Erez担任键盘手。

经过多年的校园巡演历练，2010年3月30日，AfterpartY终于发行了首张大碟《The Army You Got》。制作人包括Haydain Neale (Jacksoul) 和 Rob Sanzo (Sum 41, Danko Jones)。首单"Soft City"已于2月16日发行。未经同意，请勿转载。

团名的由来

“This afterparty sucks,” Idan remembers thinking when asked about the night he met Kristina. “I mean, what is it with afterparties anyhow? We try so hard to keep it going but the vibe just slips away.”

Kristina remembers it differently: “That afterparty rocked! Everyone was having an awesome time and here was this guy sulking on the couch, obviously trying to look like he wasn't enjoying himself. Don't even ask me why I started talking to him because I have no idea."

“Whatever, I'm sitting there minding my own business,” Idan continues, “when out of nowhere this girl drops down next to me like some fashion catastrophe and starts going on about what a great party this is. I tell her, “the smiles are fake, the styles are borrowed, and the music totally sucks!” And I wish you could see how huge her sunglasses were. First of all, who wears sunglasses at 3am indoors? Second," he says, turning to Kristina, “you looked like George Michael.”

Laughing, Kristina says, “Ok, you can never believe a word this guy says, and as if anyone takes your opinions about fashion seriously, but yah we did agree the music sucked. So I asked him, “Okay rockstar, what are you gonna do about it?” “And that's it. We started a band.”
